Colored pencil on wood? Did you sprayed it with fixative or some kind of laminate for permanence and keeping the pigment of the colored pencil on the surface of the wood panel to last ?
This is the first time I saw this kind of combination! That's impressive.
I missed reading that you used also acrylic, as a based paint so the colored pencil pigment will give a texture. You come up with pretty amazing technique/s May Ann.
I wonder if it would work, painting a portrait,
using a different wood like masonite board,
local dried leaf or leaves, or crumpled paper
or crumpled cardboard for texture, plus the
shading of colored pencil render?
I want to experiment with my self portrait.
I do not have one yet.
awwww, thank you very much my dearest friend Dennis.
Acrylics are the best medium for the textures, dude. But textured surfaces, too, just like sandpaper board, crumpled paper board, etc. Subukan mo, dear. That's why I was always experimenting something unique and special until I got my own style. Experimenting is so fun, you should do it!
